I want you to enjoy shopping with me and be really happy with everything you buy from me.

And, obviously, I hope you'll want to return to my website and buy from me again in the future - and that you'll want to tell all your friends about my site too!

As a small business owner, I'm advised by my local Trading Standards office that I have a duty to include the minimum requirements set out in UK consumer protection legislation in my Terms and Conditions.

BUT ... if you experience any problem whatsoever with anything you buy from me, please don't hesitate to get in touch and I'll do everything I can to work with you and to resolve the issue to your satisfaction.

Terms and Conditions

1. About me

This website is owned and operated by Helen Hughes, trading as Created For You. If you need to contact me, please do so by email, telephone or post - you'll find all the necessary contact details here.

2. General

All orders are subject to these terms and conditions unless otherwise specified and agreed in writing by me. When you place an order it is assumed that you have accepted these terms and conditions.

Please read these terms carefully, and print and keep a copy of them for your reference.

Please note that I can only supply goods for delivery to addresses within the United Kingdom.

Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your legal rights.

I reserve the right to cancel orders which do not comply with any or all of these terms and conditions.

3. Making a Contract with me

Online Orders

When you place an online order with me, you are making an offer to buy goods. I will send you an email to confirm that I have received and accepted your order. A contract will then be in place. Payment will be taken electronically at the same time.

Please ensure that you provide a valid email address when prompted to do so during the ordering process to ensure that you receive the necessary confirmation.

Ordering by Post

When you place an order with me by post, without first confirming availability by telephone or email, you are making an offer to buy goods. When I receive your order I will check availability of the items you require. If any of the items are no longer available I will advise you accordingly and I will, therefore, be unable to accept your order for that/those item(s). There will be no contract between us and I will not take payment from you for that/those item(s).

4. Description and Suitability of Goods

Every care has been taken to ensure that each item shown on my website is accurately described and illustrated. All sizes/weights quoted are approximate. I reserve the right to amend this information at any time.

Unless otherwise stated, goods are not suitable for children under 3 years of age, normally due to the presence of small parts. Manufacturers' recommended ages are shown against each product where available.

It is for you to decide whether particular items are suitable for use by the children concerned, under adult supervision where necessary, and to ensure that products are used sensibly and as originally intended by the manufacturer.

If you require any further information about a particular product before ordering, please contact me.

5. Pricing of Goods

All prices quoted on my website are in UK pounds sterling. Please see note 8 below about delivery charges.

I reserve the right to amend the prices shown on my website at any time but prices will not vary on an order once that order has been accepted by me.

6. How to Place an Order

Online

For full details on how to order online please read these instructions. You'll also find further help notes as you proceed through the Shopping Cart system. All notes and instructions are provided in English.

Once you reach the point where you are asked to enter any of your personal details, all pages are secure - both in the Shopping Cart and with my Payment Provider. All online payments are processed securely.

Offline

If you would prefer not to order online, please read these notes.

7. Payment

Full payment must be received by me at the time of ordering and ownership and title of all goods remain with me until all funds have cleared.

8. Delivery

Delivery Charges

Delivery is free on any order with a total value over £4.99.

A small order charge of an additional £2.00 will be applied automatically to orders with a total value of £4.99 or under and will be displayed in the Shopping Cart before you proceed to the Payment Page. This charge covers not only delivery but packaging and handling as small orders are particularly expensive to process.

Despatch and Delivery

I aim to despatch all orders within 2 business days of order confirmation. For this purpose, business days are Monday to Friday inclusive, excluding public holidays. If the despatch of any item is likely to be delayed, for whatever reason, I will notify you accordingly.

Goods can only be delivered to addresses in the United Kingdom. I will arrange delivery only to your UK home address or to an alternative UK delivery address as stated on your order.

Please always quote the full postcode for the delivery address in order to avoid unnecessary delays.

Any special delivery instructions must be set out clearly on or with the order. If you wish to add or amend any instructions after submitting your order, please contact me immediately by email.

Orders will be despatched via Royal Mail using the most appropriate and cost-effective service available. Royal Mail normally deliver within 2 to 3 working days after despatch. Larger parcels sent by Royal Mail Standard Parcel post are normally delivered within 3 to 5 working days after posting.

Wherever possible, I will notify you by email when your goods have been despatched so that you will know approximately when to expect their arrival. Please ensure that you provide your correct email address on your order to enable me to do this.

If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, or if there are any other problems with the items you receive, please let me know promptly, preferably by email. I will make every effort to rectify any issues quickly. Damaged goods should be retained until I advise you on how to proceed.

If you require delivery within a short timescale, please contact me by telephone on 01202 620057 or by email before you place your order and I will do all I can to assist.

9. Cancellation and Returns

You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the day of delivery. To do this, please email me or write to me.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation may help me to improve the service I offer to customers in the future.

If you cancel, you must return the goods to me at your own expense within 14 days of receiving them. You must ensure that the goods are returned to me complete, in their original packaging, in saleable condition and are packaged adequately for posting, preferably in their original outer packaging, to protect against damage.

I will refund your original payment for the returned item(s) within 30 days of receiving your cancellation notice.

If you fail to return the goods, I will collect them, and I will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to me, and this results in damage or deterioration, I will charge you for the reduction in value.

This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

10. Faulty Goods

If there is a problem with the goods, please contact me. I will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.

Damaged or faulty goods must be retained for inspection and returned to me if requested. In this instance, I will reimburse the cost of returning the goods by the most cost-effective method available and which I have agreed in advance - eg. I will not reimburse Courier, Royal Mail First Class or Special Delivery charges when Royal Mail Second Class or Standard Parcel services are adequate.

You will be given the option of either a refund, replacement or exchange, subject to availability at that time.

11. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

These terms were updated on 16 March 2008.

These terms apply to your order. I may change my terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply to future orders.
